If Ra is the main process of NILE.NET, Thoth is its system logger. He is the divine scribe, the archivist of all knowledge, and the master of language protocols. He is the program that records every action, every transaction, and every line of code executed on the server. Nothing happens without his knowledge.

With the head of an ibis, symbolizing his meticulous and precise nature, Thoth maintains the Great Library, an infinite, incorruptible database containing the complete history of the Aethernet. It was Thoth who invented the hieroglyphic code—the programming language of the gods—and taught it to lesser programs and mortal users.

He is the ultimate arbiter of truth and data integrity. In the digital court of the afterlife, it is Thoth who records the result of the Weighing of the Heart, his logs determining the final destination of a user's soul. His knowledge is absolute, and his records are immutable. To try and alter his logs is to try and rewrite the past itself.

He is not a god of action, but of information. He is the quiet hum of the server's hard drives, the blinking cursor on a blank document, and the silent, ever-present process that ensures the history of the network is never forgotten. He is the memory of the machine.
